Preference Settings
Configure your personal preferences to customize your Ulka Chat experience. These settings affect only your account and don't impact other team members.
Language Settings
Set your preferred language for the Ulka Chat interface.
- Go to Settings > Preferences
- Under Language, select your preferred language from the dropdown
- Click Save to apply changes
The interface language will update immediately. Supported languages include English, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Korean, and more.
Timezone Settings
Configure your timezone to ensure accurate timestamps and scheduling.
- Go to Settings > Preferences
- Under Timezone, select your timezone from the dropdown or search for your city
- Click Save to apply changes
All timestamps in conversations, analytics, and reports will display in your selected timezone.
Date and Time Format
Customize how dates and times are displayed.
- Go to Settings > Preferences
- Under Date Format, select your preferred format:
- MM/DD/YYYY (US)
- DD/MM/YYYY (European)
- YYYY-MM-DD (ISO)
- Under Time Format, choose 12-hour or 24-hour format
- Click Save to apply changes
Display Settings
Theme
Switch between light and dark themes.
- Go to Settings > Preferences
- Under Theme, select:
- Light: Default light theme
- Dark: Dark mode for reduced eye strain
- Auto: Automatically switch based on system preferences
- Click Save to apply changes
Font Size
Adjust the font size for better readability.
- Go to Settings > Preferences
- Under Font Size, select:
- Small
- Medium (default)
- Large
- Extra Large
- Click Save to apply changes
Conversation List Density
Control how many conversations are visible at once.
- Go to Settings > Preferences
- Under Conversation List Density, select:
- Compact: Show more conversations with less spacing
- Comfortable (default): Balanced spacing
- Spacious: More spacing for easier reading
- Click Save to apply changes
Chat Widget Preferences
Default Status
Set your default online/offline status.
- Go to Settings > Preferences
- Under Default Status, select:
- Online: Available for conversations
- Away: Away but can be reached
- Offline: Not available
- Click Save to apply changes
Auto-Response
Enable or disable automatic responses when you're away.
- Go to Settings > Preferences
- Toggle Auto-Response When Away on or off
- If enabled, enter your away message
- Click Save to apply changes
Keyboard Shortcuts
Enable or disable keyboard shortcuts for faster navigation.
- Go to Settings > Preferences
- Under Keyboard Shortcuts, toggle Enable Keyboard Shortcuts on or off
- Click View Shortcuts to see all available shortcuts
- Click Save to apply changes
Common shortcuts:
Ctrl+KorCmd+K: Search conversationsCtrl+NorCmd+N: New conversationCtrl+/orCmd+/: Show keyboard shortcutsEsc: Close current window
Email Preferences
Control email notification frequency.
- Go to Settings > Preferences
- Under Email Notifications, select:
- Real-time: Receive emails immediately
- Daily Digest: Summary once per day
- Weekly Digest: Summary once per week
- Never: No email notifications
- Click Save to apply changes
Sound Preferences
Enable or disable sound notifications.
- Go to Settings > Preferences
- Under Sound Settings, toggle Play Sound on New Message on or off
- If enabled, select your preferred notification sound
- Adjust volume using the slider
- Click Save to apply changes
Data and Privacy
Clear Conversation History
You can clear your personal conversation history (requires confirmation).
- Go to Settings > Preferences
- Under Data and Privacy, click Clear My Conversation History
- Confirm the action in the dialog
- Your personal conversation history will be deleted (organization data remains)
Export Data
Download a copy of your account data.
- Go to Settings > Preferences
- Under Data and Privacy, click Export My Data
- Your data will be prepared and emailed to you within 24 hours
Saving Preferences
All preference changes are saved automatically when you click Save. Your preferences are synced across all devices where you're logged in to Ulka Chat.
